ARE YOUR ABS STRONG ENOUGH?
Several years ago we came up with a different version of the kettlebell renegade row and we called it the "Kettlebell Prone Bridge."  This is an excellent CORE exercise that teaches the principle of "abdominal bracing."  If you are familiar with the bodyweight exercise called the plank you will enjoy this challenging variation.

TIPS for performing the KB Prone Bridge:

  • Keep shoulders direclty over KB
  • Keep your feet slightly wider than shoulder width
  • Think of making yourself tall (lengthen your body from the top of your head to your sacrum)
  • Keep the pelvis and lumbar spine from rotating
  • Keep the moving arm long and move very smoothly and slowy
  • Pack the working shoulder so your shoulder is far away from your ear
  • At no point should you sag your body
  • 4 to 5 arm rotations per side
  • Because there will be quite a bit of tension in your torso practice"sipping" air in and out as you need it
  • Focus on Quality
